Councils, Clubs & Committees

Parish Pastoral Council

Ten members of the parish serve time-limited terms on the Pastoral Council. Founded on the Word of God, the council explores and addresses the life and mission of The Parish of the Resurrection.

 

Liturgy Committee

Liturgy is the heart of our faith community. Our Liturgy Committee meets to discuss the seasons and times of our year with the Lord and to plan our various liturgical celebrations.

 

Finance Council

In keeping with the law of the Church, the pastor appoints several members of the parish to advise on financial matters. The Finance Council prepares and monitors the annual budget, prepares reports for parishioners, and advises on investments.

 

Buildings and Grounds Committee

This group keeps an eye on maintenance and repairs of parish properties and advises on major renovation projects.

 

Sports Program

Our Parish has a basketball program for boys and girls that runs from October to March.  Please call the Parish Office for information.

 

Scouting

Scouts enjoy scouting activities in an atmosphere of faith at both churches. You may call the Parish Office for more information.

 

Casey Club

Old name….new group! This fellowship organization plans fundraising events and social gatherings for the benefit of the parish and the fellowship of the community. If you would like to share your ideas or volunteer to help with an event, please call the Parish Office. Come join the club!

 

The Altar Rosary Society

This ladies fraternity is established for prayer, community, and ministry. The members of the Society pray the Rosary together and hold fellowship breakfasts several ties a year. Call Jennie Lepesha, President of the Society, at the Parish Office if you would like to know more.

 

Senior Citizens

Our Over Fifty-five Club meets once a month for an afternoon of community, entertainment and information. Regular bus excursions are also part of their activities. The Over Fifty-five Club meets at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Bridgeboro Rd. in Delran on the first Thursday of each month at noon. The Holy Name Society

The Holy Name Society is a Catholic Men’s' organization that promotes reverence for the Sacred Names of God and Jesus Christ, obedience and loyalty to the Catholic Church, and the personal sanctification and holiness of its members. The formal name of the Society is the Confraternity of the Most Holy Names of God and Jesus. The origin of the Holy Name Society goes back to the Council of Lyons in 1274, and was further directed by the Order of St. Dominic and the Order of Friars Minor originally started by St. Francis of Assisi.. The Society also assists in parish ministries and promotes the performance of the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy in parish life.

 

Resurrection Parish has a very active Holy Name Society, and new members are always welcome. We meet on the last Thursday of each month at 7:30 PM at the Holy Name site. For more information please contact the parish.
